What are your favorite Themes?
I freaking love Jet Mans Theme. Just incredible beautiful. Glue Man and Yo-Yo Mans Themes are very good too.July 16, 2013 at 3:42 am #1687
My favourite theme plays during a part of the game I won’t mention here, due to spoilers etc.
But my favourite of the robot master stages… I like Trinitro Man and Yo-Yo Man especially. And while I did like the original Jet Man theme Kevin had on Youtube, the one in the game is pretty darn good too. :)July 16, 2013 at 6:11 am #1690
I like Trinitro Man’s theme the best so far out of the robot master stages.
For Wily Castle stages, I like Stage 2’s theme.July 16, 2013 at 7:53 am #1703
Trinitro Man and Glue Man I’d say. Jet Man’s pretty good too.July 16, 2013 at 10:49 am #1731
Tank Man and Jet Man are amazing. I also LOVE the Wily stages 2 and 3 themes.July 16, 2013 at 11:17 am #1733
How did that slip my mind? Wily 2 is one of my favourites too, despite it being the one song I hadn’t heard before the game came out. :PJuly 16, 2013 at 11:30 am #1738
Nail Man is one of my favorite because of that grunge’y sound at the beginning really brings it home the stage is about nails and constructions.
However the main melody that starts half way through the song is the best part, I can’t get enough of it.
Trinitro Man is pretty good
and Wily 3 and Wily 3 boss is my favorite.July 16, 2013 at 5:56 pm #1768
Tank Man and Jet Man have the best stage themes in my opinion.
But the best piece of music in the entire game is the music that plays when you fight the third fortress boss.July 16, 2013 at 9:08 pm #1788
Glue Man’s is probably in my top 5 MM themes. It’s pure 8-Bit Genius. Way to go Kevin!July 16, 2013 at 9:31 pm #1794
I’ve loved Yo-yo Man’s theme since the first time I heard it, and it sounds like some slight tweaks were made, because it sounds even better in game!
Nail Man, Wily 2 and 3 are also honorable mentions in my book. Both title themes kick ass as well.
Speaking of music, when is the rest of the OST going to be released?

I know it’s an unpopular one, but I really do like Rainbowman’s stage music. It’s pretty gritty, but it dares to be different! Haven’t heard a track like it in any other Megaman game. I also love the juxtaposition of the kinda more “metal” intro when it returns directly following that more melancholic second theme in the loop.
I also love the 1st Wily stage theme. The melody is really very nice and has a lot of memorable shapes. There’s a strange spot where the melody is in parallel sevenths for a brief time with the counter line that is kind of ear catching. Normally I’d think this was a mistake, but it’s a little quirk that I’m now kind of attached to – especially after spending so much time in that damn level trying to beat the boss!
Speaking just of the music in general, I am tending to like the music more and more every time I hear it. The first time around, I found myself asking “Why can’t I remember any of the tunes in this game like I can directly recall all the other tunes from past Megaman games? Are the melodies maybe less well-done?” And I’m quickly realizing it’s a matter of familiarity. I love all the old tunes so much because I’ve heard them my whole life. I’m sure as I play this game more and more (and I will!) that I’ll grow to love the tunes more as well.July 17, 2013 at 2:40 pm #1855
Am I the only one who’s a fan of the final theme for Comet Woman? Sure, it has its odd notes, but it sounds fun and spacey as all hell!
Also, I like Trinitro Man, Jet Man, and Tank Man as well. Trinitro Man’s theme reminds me of Solar Man’s, and that’s just awesome. The part before Jet Man’s loop catches my interest. Tank Man’s theme is just plain awesome, and it has a lot of the original theme mixed in there.July 18, 2013 at 5:17 am #1934
The explosive trio of Jet Man, Trinitro Man and Tank Man were all awesome. Especially Tank Man gets you pumped up to fight those hordes of military based enemies and mines … really great atmosphere.
Wily 3 is also really awesome, it has that sense of blasting your way deeper through the fortress. I am still kinda sad, that the original Wily 2 music didn’t make it, since it was probably my favorite track of the lot, but then again it wouldn’t have fit into the stage very well.July 18, 2013 at 2:47 pm #1958
It would be really awesome, if someone can upload the whole OST of the game on YouTube.
