    Hey MegaphilX, I don’t know if you still come to this forum, but I had some ideas regarding the final fight with Prototype Zero. The fact that the game ends on an unwinnable boss fight is something that bothers a lot of people, but I wasn’t exactly sure how to really fix that. Canonically, it makes no sense for Mega Man to defeat even a prototype of Zero. Then I saw the new trailer and Prototype Zero’s mechanics and an idea came to me. Basically, give him a lifebar, and have it drain by one each time he attacks (while regaining health if he hits Mega Man). After his lifebar empties, just have him short out, then have Dr. Wily attack Mega Man from offscreen to incapacitate him while he recovers Z-Prototype. Then continue the game as normal. Also, to make it more of an achievement, only give the player one attempt at surviving his onslaught. If they fail, have Z-Prototype hack Mega Man’s arm off as normal and proceed as you normally would. This would make the final fight something more interactive and give players something to shoot for, while not really changing much about the story.

    Anyway, it’s just an idea I had. What does everyone here think?
